dispatched. aw yeah.
i think this will be a very good long term synth.
| quote: | | According to Roland the System-8 will be the main focus point for new ACB developments. With over 8 times the DSP power of the System-1, of which currently only a fraction is used, users can expect various expansions and enhancements in the future. |
i don't think doubling the polyphony is out of the question, i think it is a very real possibility... at least giving full polyphony to two plug outs simultaneously in split mode is surely earmarked. they push these hardware products out the door with the firmware still bare bones, and beef it up as they go.
roland usually give their products updates down the line with substantial features. jdxi just got a meaty update. i think the system-8 will morph into a different beast in the coming couple of years.
not forgetting the juno 106 plug out in a few months, which i am looking forward to more than the jupiter 8 - and the new plug outs they have in the pipeline.
hope/expect to see the number of patch locations expanded in some way too, other than SD card. there will be new patches to download on their axial site.
lastly, i'd like to see the original jupiter/juno plug outs expanded upon (e.g. usable sub osc)
