Can't really say much since it's just a sample but it's very promising and pro sounding.

I'd use some thicker pads, though.

Chicane - Far From The Maddening Crowds - 10 - Offshore '97
is with vocals..more of an euro-dance track, the original is much better..

Ive listened to the long version..

SOunds very nice and very pro.

Only IMO the percussion is a little to loud.
And at 3:42 you have a (closed hihat?) coming in wich sound really bad

But i think this iz gonne be a great remix

Good stuff John! Sounds mint!
But I would like to hear more pads, u know those warm Chicane pads
Other then that it's good, this is one of those tracks that is hard to remix , the orginal is really good, so it's kinda hard to beat that. but it was a nice try! I liked it!

Overall the sound is good.

IMO though, the string synth you use is not right for the track, it's far too sharp, the note changes are far too pronounced, and the tone/font/timbre of the synth does not match the track and lowers the overall quality. I'd opt for a softer smoother string synth maybe even drop it down one octave. The note changes need to blend into each other.

other than that, professional production and good work.

i will look for the strings..
everyone is complainging about them
but they are too sharp indeed.. i'll try to make some wamrer and smoother pads
ohw and robstar, it wanst my intention to beat to original..that's impossible (well at least for me)
