Can I do othr Things while Recording?

Hi, Well.. I was wondering if I can do other stuffs while im Recording Vinyl to WAV., I mean like Chat, visit web pages and stuffs like that?.. or could that affect to the recording?

I have a Pentium 4 1.6 GHz and 256 MB Memory.

sure u can. just make sure u have all ur computer noises turned down (aim chat msgs, internet flash websites, etc. and don't check your aol mail) or else you'll record them straight along with you set. altho i personally feel if i'm recording a set, i'd rather focus on the set then do something else. i missed many good entry points cuz i was doing something else.

umm, no you dont have to shut down all other sounds...

just make sure you're recording straight from line-in and you're fine...

You can go from your mixer's record out (rca) to TSR 1/8" (stereo headphone jack) via a cord from radio shack. You can plug your TTs directly into a turntable with certain soundcards that accept phono connections, but they aren't very common.

yeah thats what i have is a sound card that has direct phono but i cant seem to get it to work

ehhm...just make sure not to weigh down your computer too much or u might get hiccups while your recording
