finalize cds with different computer?

i burned some mp3 cds on my old computer that i sold 4 months ago
i didn't finalize the cds even though they're pretty much full
now i've got a new computer and different burning software, is it possible for me to finalize these discs?

i think the discs need to be finalized so i can play mp3s on a dvd player, i am right, yes?

ok, i think i got a disc finalized but it still won't play in a dvd player (it can play mp3s)
i've got a bunch of mp3s burned onto the cd, does a dvd player need a cue file or something to read them?


these are cd-rs, i should have mentioned that

the prob with the dvd playr could be that it just doesnt like some kinds of discs, its like that with most devices that has support for one kind of disc and can play files from others too, i got that prob with my brand new SONY mp3/cd player and files burnt in a speed of 2*...
