For all you PC DJ's
I just got Traktor DJ Studio 2 and i must say it is pretty much the ultimate in Mixing Software. I spent all day on it today and it is so incredibly easy to use and it also sounds very decent. For any of you that want to burn your own CD's with your fav tunes on it i highly recommend it. Anyway I made my own mix today and it turned out great (by my normal PC mixing standards that is ):
=========================================================
01. Above & Beyond - Far From In Love (original mix)
02. Chicane - Autumn Tactics (thrillseekers remix)
03. Fire & Ice - Heart & Mind (club mix)
04. DT8 - Destination (original vocal mix)
05. Mesh - Purple Haze
06. Katana - Silence (signum remix)
07. Signum feat. Katana - Moonflow
08. Solid Sessions - Janeiro (armin van buuren remix)
09. Ayumi Hamasaki - M (above & beyond typhoon dub)
10. Ocean Lab - Sky Falls Down (armin van buuren remix)
=========================================================
Songs numbers 06 and 07 mix fantastically well with each other, signum songs sound fantastic mixed. So i recommend everyone to get this software straight away and start mixing!

I still use a tweeked up atomixmp3 for my PC mixing. I agree the original atomix is shizz but you can boost it up so much.

Not really. The Sync thing doesnt even work half the time! And then it takes a bit to get the actual mixing sounding good. It's just very easy to use (such as keyboard short cuts) and the graphics to show you the bits of the song (or whatever its called).
You can get it from the TA Hub. The files called:
Traktor_DJ_Studio_2.rar
Its 11.9 MB if that helps.

The biggest problem that I have with Traktor is that I only have one sound card & thus can't use the cue functions at all
Although when you manage a good mix it is much more satisfying than Mixmeister

I used to love traktor but now I hate it
its really crap at understanding tribal rhythms and breakbeats, maybe for trance and a standard 4/4 beat its good, but anything else and it can't handle it
my mixing is better than traktor!

hell yeah!
but ...umm....thx for the info stampy.
I still use old school pcdj, no help, if anything the program makes it harder cos I can't cue or monitor, still if I can't be farked burning a cd and then using cdjs I'll just make a tape/minidisc mix with pcdj :P
stamps, katana songs go great together as well

hehe, well they are both sort of katana songs in a way. I can't really see the Katan influence on moonflow though, it's too melodic. Third dimension you can tell.
