I need some recommendations for both styles. I can't find any info on tech-house and all the garage I get is that bloody 2-step, even though I'm looking for the more housy thing So, could you guys help me out?

For Garage try older Dreem Teem, MJ Cole, Double 99 stuff from like 1997-1998
H-Foundation (Hipp-e & Halo) for tech-house, check out their Essential Mix from early 2002. I also higly recommend Terry Lee Brown Jr.! He's a very talented DJ and a producer (one of my favorites too), check out the Terry's Café series...
