Well, now I'll be able to tell my grandkids that I saw Deep Dish
I really really tried to enjoy them. At times I did. Other times I was falling asleep. Deep Dish definitely had those flashes of brilliance that made them famous. Unfortunately it were only flashes.
One part of the set that I thoroughly enjoyed was played around 2AM I think.. It was really banging and extremely danceble. I totally loved it.
Deep Dish's mixing was really amazing. Damn, it was so great that I couldn't even distinguish when one track began, and other ended. Have to respect them at least for that !
My highlight of the night: The hottie in blue dress who kept dancing like crazy for 5 hours straight on the podium(for lack of better word) in front of Deep Dish. And.. Turns out she goes to University of Waterloo(that's where I study as well)!! Talk about school for geeks! I now know a total of 3 girls who go UW and love trance/prog. WOHOO
Not a lot of TAs came out for this one. Props to NightCreature(who went house hunting in Waterloo right after the party), StereoPrincess, Gamma, Heatscore, Halo20(haha, you seemed to have LOVED it man ), Mecha and HighSpirit.

Holy shit, what a night!
It was too god damn crowded (I even told off Charles for that one), and it was just disgusting at times... they should've had this in the Kool Haus!
But hey, music wise, it was an amazing night... I got to chill with Sharam and Ali for a while (they are such great guys, wow!), and really enjoyed the first couple of hours by Sharam. And then, when Ali took over, oh my god... from the first song I knew he was gonna blow the roof off that place, and he did!!! Such an amazing song selection, amazing mixing, just great! At 5:30 when we were leaving the club was still full, and Ali looked like he was just warming up (even tho he started around 3)... simply said, I have found a new respect for these guys (like I didn't respect them before)!
Special K, you seemed like you enjoyed that night more than anyone...
Anyway, this one goes down as one of the better sets I've enjoyed in the GUV...
P.S. --> Does anyone else find that freak drag queen that screams all night (and he/she is always there) very annoying... I was gonna kick him in the face, but I didn't have enough space to even lift my leg. Oh well, next time...

What a night
Got there around 11:30 place was empty
meet up with blue_neon, mg and rest of the crew.
Mark was warming up the crowd with some tribal, progressive and breaks. Around 12:40 sharam came out and man he was so loud that security told him to turn a little bit down. He start his set with some deep chillout house and after he went some banging hard progressive house and tribal. The stuff that he spun WAS NOT PROGRESSIVE TRANCE at all, it was pure banging hard Tribal with progressive house elements in there. The place was so pucked so I went to the stage where can I see him spinning. One thing that I noticed that he was getting some trouble with turntables, trechnical problem, so at the middle of his set he was spinning with his cds. And he just drop the stuff that I enjoyed dark, bouncy, progressive house with sweet females vocals.....
When ALI hit the decks it was pure dark stuff and I loved every second of that. The place was sooooooooo pucked unbelievable, but I managed to get some room on the stage, also I was managed to take on the biggest Global Underground posters home.
Highlight of the night was talking to sharam, meet Katie who gived me her phone number (some chick at the party) and of course grooving to some dirty progressive beats...
10/10
GU025 will be awesome cd.....

Wow, the dish destroyed the place. Relentless and constanly driving, they more than delivered. For 10$ there is no way in hell anyone could complain.
I recognized 1/3 of the tracks, but I have no clue what most of them are called. They played their WHOLE Stockholm set minus 'Thrill Her'.
Who remembers....
- NOBODY LISTEN TO TECHNO!
- Coldplay
- 'Woke up this morning" (I think thats a No Doubt sample)
- "You are sleeping, you are sleeping, you don't want to sleep?"
- "I feel like I wanna be...inside of you...when the sun goes down"
- those two lush piano tracks, god those better be on the comp
- deeper love
- "attention, attention"
(wow as you can see, I know shit for song titles)
I give the dish 8/10, not perfect because of how crowded it was, and also the mixing at times was a little dodgy, wow. But I'm a picky bastard. I managed to catch Stereo Princess, Gamma, Tw1tch, Blue_Neon, Durafei and I think thats it. hah It was nice to see you guys out there. THE DISH!!! (here are some pics stolen from another board, heh)
