isn't northern exposure one all chilled out? or does it make you at least enjoy the soundscape and thickness of the atmosphere that the cd creates?

I'd personally go with Northern Exposure. Conjure One sounds like tribal pop to me, not my thing.

Well, the first CD is pretty much ambient/chillout and you can usually only find the first CD in stores to buy. The original CD has a second CD which is progressive...similar to the style of the other northern exposures.
