Intros + Hip-Hop Loving People = negative comments?

Does this ever happen to you??

You're talking to one of your american music loving friends. You let them listen to one of your trance tracks from one of your cd's. It's an incredible song, but they think the intro is boring as fuck. When this happens, i usually tell them to fast forward to the synths, or just keep listening to the intro. they say screw this and the headphones are off.

This scenario happens to me.. a lot. Apparently people just don't appreciate intros like a genuine TA does.

Oy, this kid must have a heart of stone. Every person I have played this for, including die-hard 'techno' haters, have liked this. I think this is the type of song that transcends genres, it's just beautiful.

These people are used to instantaneous things. They want the beat, they're not able to wait that long. It's not just trance: the same thing happens to other outstanding drum'n'bass tunes and classical music in general.

happens to me everyday.....makes me think..."why am I hooked on trance?"
