Whatever you do, DO NOT buy belt driven decks. Save up a little longer and get direct drive. Otherwise a few months down the track you'll be sitting there wishing you never considered belt driven.

I wouldn't even use them if they give it to me.

dude do what they say go with Direct Drive belt drive sex like i played around with one not to long ago i like TOUCH the plater when it was spinning and it stop dead cold in its trax but if your looking for low price dont save and get some Tech's man its worth it plus you cant be the next PvD or Tiesto on belts they would laugh you off the stand...that and when you tell people what kinda tables you go... i would feel like shit telling peopel "yeah they're belt drive...yeah i know i should have saved " so go with Tech's man i almost have the money for mine

Don't go near beltdrives, the link infinite gave you is like soo much better then the ones you were considering and it's just a bit hihger.

Dude, do not get Belt Drives, for just over a year i have wanted decks, when i managed to save enough up to buy the shitest belt drives, i was guna buy them ( the package was about £200) and i was so tempted. but i read these posts and thought about it, and saved for 4 more months. and on tuesday i finally got my decks. i got:

Numark TT1650's
Numark DM3000x

I paid £365 for it in the end. With cables, headphones, a Stanton Video and Record Bag.

I think its a really good set, i have managed to beat match the odd mix here and there and i have really got used to a few tracks and can get a solid mix in everytime. I went round to my mates house yesterday and he had bought some belt drives ( cant remember model - sorry) and i tryed to mix my records with them ( the ones i can mix) and i found it almost impossible, as when i touched the record to slightly slow it down, the whole platter stopped spinning, and the start up torque is really really bad. SOme people will tell you to get belt drives and practise, then when you move up to Direct Drives you will be really good, but DONT, get Direct Drives and a mixer that has EQ's.

Most people will agree with me too.

Trust Me, you wont regret it.

I know this has been said a million times before, save up for technics. They "never" break and you don't have to upgrade later.
