While I don't smoke, so I don't know how bad it gets when you can't get your cigs, but it seems to me that if you spent like a week locked up in your house, without access to nicotine, you could walk out without being dependent, or nearly as dependent. I know thats what my mom did, and she said it was really hard, but it seems the most logical way to me.

thats how I quit smoking cigarettes, locked myself up in the house for a week and then on the weekend went out, but the thing is when you first leave your house and you hang out with ur friends a craving will come back
