Red face Where do you go for vocals?

... if you need some funky samples, or maybe a nice female voice -- in short, any kind of vocals. Where do you go? Record yourself and then warp your voice? Think of some funny line, like "Let's go" or "Bass in your face!" and slap it into the track? Ask some girl from your school to volunteer a nice lead?

I find tracks with at least some kind of vocals much more interesting and exciting. I think if you TA producers experimented with that your tracks would be a step closer to pro-quality and perfection

Just my opinion of course

"Take that, motherfuker!"

I swear I'm gonna use this vocal someday when I write a HardTrance tune

By the way -- anybody want to collaborate?

cool
I'm gonna join you guys, 'soon as I get my hands on Fruity! (which I haven't been able to so far )
Really wanna start producing
Hope you'll support me in this endeavor

Here's something I don't understand:
Suppose I installed Fruity. I don't wanna use their shitty keyboard (it sounds like crap), so I'm gonna go out and find some samples, right? including suynth samples.

But how am I gonna be able to change the notes afterwards, to form a melody? The synth sample will only be 1 particular note!

Sorry for the stupid question

Buzz is free. If you use Windows, or have Virtual PC for the Mac, you can download it and start producing today. http://www.buzzmachines.com

This is, of course, assuming "get my hands on Fruity" means "download it somewhere" not "find it in a store and buy it."

after you'll put the smaple in fruity, you can simply draw notes or use your keyborad to record a melody.
you can usually also change the pitch of the single note from the sample... you'll see it when you get fruity
good luck!

Yes but it will sound terrible if you change the pitch of one sample, and get the melody that way
It won't sound like a normal keyboard melody.
You're supposed to draw the melody line using a single kind of sound, like Fruity's built-in synth instruments!
But they sound horrible...

i'm pretty sure girls don't mind recording their voices for you...

i had a couple of my girl friends record some samples and they thought it was pretty cool to have their voices or singing used in a track....

the only problem is finding someone that can sing really well... but usually if you go to school, college, or work, you can probably find at least 1 girl that can sing very well in a sample size of say maybe 100 girls...

how about this... kinda similar to eugene's q...

alright so you import a samlple of a string or something and the note is a G2 or something...when you import it that note is automatically set as C5 in the piano roll...anyway to change that? i know its something small, but it would be nice...
