What is your Idea for a Trance Music Video? If you were to direct a Trance Video that was to be released on say MTV world wide what would you invision, what would be your storyboard Idea.

i think it depends on the track..any tracks u had in mind?

I usually invision Fast paced film. a lot of lights for some reason those are just key aspects to me when I think of directing a Trance Video.

So far i've seen these trance tracks on MTV Australia:

Blank & Jones - Desire
Marc Et Claude - I Need Your Loving
Jurgen Vries - The Theme (Pretty sure i saw that one)

and others, not a big thing though they were on at a time where no one would be watching or nobody could care about the song that was playing.

i dunno what i would do for the whole song but i think it would be cool to speed up the film at the peak of the track...something like have people walking in a crowded area then speed that part of the film up as the climax of the track hits...then maybe some sped up footage of a club scene and also a scene where the lights of cars are like blurred red and white lines cuz the film is being played so fast. i hope i made my idea clear

Yeah thats Marketing for you. MTV feels that it's a waste to expose people to all genres of music. I don't understand it totally because there is a huge market for Trance, and other types of electronic music in the world and I mean in the mainstream. It's just that the sponsors, and big shots at places at MTV only want to force feed the worlds youth with commercialized bullshit. You ever notice there is only like 5 different Video directors and all the top POP artist use them....lol it's like a scam....

I have some concepts for some video's it's just a matter of putting a crew together to shot them. Also it's the time factor because I would get people I know in the Film Business to do it for free so it would be totally on the side. I own Dreamstate Productions which is an Artist Management company based in NY. So I have my own artist that I could use for the video. Electronic based Labels just don't have money to have video's made they can barely pay advancements to artist. So video's totally come out of the Artist pocket.

Ok Tatu that russian girl group there music is totally studio based and alot of there new album is dance, electronic. Has any one see some of there video's? There Manager was actually a Big time Tv and Commerical film Director in Russian so he directs all there video's you can get them off of Kazaa unless you live in Russia then they play them on MTV there. They are strange video's but, they work and why do they work...... They are all about SEX.... I don't understand a damn word they say but, there hot so it's all good.
