Timegate by AR52 (Miika Kuisma), who I might add I have never heard the name
Miika Kuisma or AR52, is a nice tune. Starting off with some nice effects, the tune
uses a simple bassline, starts off very energetic with no long buildup to the climax.
Nice synth and effects are used to build the tune to it's breakdown. When it hits
(the breakdown) the melody slowly fades away to silence, then an amazing buildup hits
using a stringlike effect and just wants to make the lister get up and dance. After that
the tune is introduced with a new effect, almost or is a bell sounding effect. A second
breakdown / climax happens, but much shorter then the first and dosent fade away. Not quite
a hard tune IMO. It dosent have much 'energy' to make you wanna 'scream'.
Quality production from AR52 (Miika Kuisma), and be sure to check out more from this
awsome producer.
7/10 for Timegate
Hibernation is a way better tune. Starting off with no bassline at all, it has
almost a chill-out like feel to it. When the bassline kicks in, and as Arbiter mentioned,
in another review, simple but relatively hard. Then the main synths come in, again building
the track. An amazing paino roll is brought in, then the bassline goes away and replaced
with claps. There isnt much of a climax to this tune as it is a progressive trance tune.
Again the paino is heard, which is quite beautiful to the ear. From there on the tune
ends, sort of how it began. The bassline ends and it sounds like a chill-out tune again.
Allready being played by Armin van Buuren and a few other big name DJ's aswell as others,
this tune will sure, in my head, become big in the progressive trance area.
8/10 for Hibernation
