LOL!!!!! dEsidEL, this is pure genius!!!

I love how the UN inspectors are the Jedi Knights!! Hilarious! And the Darth Maul/Sidious corresponding to Powell/Cheney, really makes a lot of sense.

Not to mention George W. Bush as Palpatine...haha!

OK, but seriously, this is still a very interesting observation, for it shows one possiblity of this entire scenario. If you all remember your Star Wars - and it's a little redundant stating this - you'll recall that eventually Palpatine came to seize power and turn the Republic into a ruthless dictatorialship.

Now, this is quite ridiculous in the real world, for Bush (probably) has no such intentions, nor could such a scenario ever come into place while there are still sane people in the world (yeah, making quite the assumption here aren't I? ).

EDIT: wait a second, you put Corruscant as the US, so this could actually make more sense than what I had initially thought. Having the US (Corruscant) as leading the rest of the world (galaxy) (or whatever the hell was the known universe in Star Wars), will make the conspiracy theorists bursting with glee at easy analogies and predictions, etc.

Otherwise, a lot of things are really connecting! E.g. the Death Star and that crazy-ass new US bomb (kinda scary that it's supposed to be the SUCCESSOR to the DAISY CUTTER ).

heh yea.. Corruscant is the United States, because the United Nations is based in New York which is like the Imperial Senate being based in Imperial City on Corruscant.

if you really want to get a laugh outta this watch the debate in Episode 1 that they have in the Imperial Senate and retrospect that with what's happening right now in the UN Security Council.
