How do I reverse the polarity of a midi sustain pedal?

I have an Evolution MK-249C running as a USB midi in on my keyboard and I went and bought a Roland DP-6 pedal switch today. Unfortunately, whenever the pedal is down my vsti (Steinberg The Grand) thinks that the pedal is up and vice versa. Is there anyway of alleviating this problem?

I had to do this once, and it was pretty easy on the pedal I had.

Open the pedal up, and you should find two wires connected (and not much else). Disconnect them and connect them up the other way.
