I think I figured out what PVD and BT's song "Namista" means

After doing a lot of searching on the web and trying to translate, I basically found a site from someone's speech to a church. At the end they say what Namista means... here's an exerpt...

"Buddhists have one word for the thousands I have written here. It is a greeting which takes the place of "hello." It’s not a handshake. It does not invade the other person’s space with physical contact. It’s the folding of the hands for prayer in front of one’s own solar plexis. It’s a nod of the head in recognition of the other. It’s the uttering of one single word…

"Namista."

It means, "The God inside me greets the God inside you."

So simple.

So complex. "

I thought that was pretty neat. Just wanted to share it with everyone.

Makes sense--I've also seen that song as Namistai/Namaste, the derivative Sanscrit/Hindi word for greeting

Namistai is just quite simply the Hindu word for Hello.

compare the search results of
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&...G=Google+Search

with

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&...G=Google+Search

Namistai is a Sanskrit word that means "I bow to the divine in you." It is a greeting, a welcome, an invitation to communicate.

why is it funny? People aren't psychic to know what others on this board know. I too know what "namistai" means as well as various other sanskrit words (my name being one of them), nothing to boast there. To know why BT had chosen that particular word for the track would be nice to know tho.
