It's probably safe unless you (1) have atypically low blood pressure or (2) take other depressant medications or (3) are stupid enough to take a big dose. Lots of people take for it non-medical uses (mostly performance anxiety). Still wouldn't use it without a doctor's okay, though, and I don't see the small "chilled out" effect you would get from it being any more fun than a few beers or smoking a bowl.

Yea never saw the point in taking chemical depressants besides alcohol. It works so well.
