It blows my mind that people are actually giving a serious responses to this guy.
I already said that in another thread. Troll is stupid, but people responding are even more stupid. Although it's mostly Looney4Clooney, so I'm not that surprised.

Argh, three people in a row quote my grammatical error. Ritual suicide it is.
I'm reading some poems by Lord Byron and at certain places besides the text there are numbers. I've seen this in several books and thought there were some kind of translation marks, but the book is in English so it hasn't been translated.
Anyone has any idea what it might be?

Sorry, you're wrong. I say this as a person who's worked, interviewed and currently does his dissertation in depression and personality disorder.
I understand your view and why it would make sense to an uninformed person, however these pathologies enter the realm of disabilities to the point where said people cannot function at all anymore. And this is not only psychosis related, mostly neurosis.
have you ever experienced it personally?
what people term "psychosis" ?
all great philosophers and most intelligent people would advise you the same thing.
"do not comment on things which you have not experienced personally, for you know nothing of them, and nothing about them"
you do not have more knowledge than me on this. do not assume you do. do not call me "uninformed" when you lack experience. the studies you try to learn are all external based.
you cannot observe how a person actually feels. especially when they're unresponsive or the feelings they have are hard to be expressed in words.

No, and I really hope never to go through it. Regardless on what your opinion might be, it's uninformed and uncultivated since you lack any contact with such patients and further more, the events you previously described can be interpreted in several manners which - again - have to do with experience.

True, reason why I'm studying C.G Jung's work in my spare time.
But technology will catch up with that as well. Just like psychoses were seen as either religious, cultural, symbolic- related, through the advancement of imagistics, we are drawing closer to its understanding.

it just pisses me off when all these people reading books think they know something about real life.
empiricism = EXPERIENCE.
reading books =||= experience.

I advise you to re-read what was previously posted:

who's worked, interviewed
I haven't read a book on the subject, I was a part of their life and reality.
