Figured after seeing that one fire poi vid get resurrected, I'd share the latest one I filmed a few months ago. Would have been shot in HD, but didn't have the right gig card for the camera. Oh well, still think it came out good.

Back in my mid 20s when we were all silly uplifting trance heads, I had a good friend that was amazing at any kind of "poi" stuff - fire, glow sticks, LEDs...didn't matter. I always wanted to be able to do even a fraction of what he was capable of, but holy shit I must have the coordination of a drunken, newborn calf on some combination of Xanax and LSD. We can't all be good at the same things, I guess.

My wife took too long in the bathroom, so i grabbed and old diaper out of the bin and shit in it. Does this make me an animal?

I put it in her purse to punish her for half an hour wechat urination sessions.

My son takes bigger shits than I. It sucks, because he is only 15 months old. Usually a dad gets to dominate the kid at sports until the teens hit.

Our system is increasingly becoming like yours, actually. In theory, I should've had to teach during my PhD, but because I had already landed a temporary gig as a full-time lecturer on top of being a PhD student, I didn't have to teach these extra classes. Phew!

By the way, you mentioned it's hard to get a job there because of the fierce competition. Would you be willing to work in Brazil? I suspect it would be quite easy for you to get job specially in the Amazon. It's no Bavaria but, hey, if you like sun you'll be in for a treat

Yeah I had a couple of friends who were also insanely good with glowsticks and poi, they were the main reason why I got into the shit. But with me it always took so long to get a new move down and with them they could practice a new move or combo and have it down clean in a few days. I guess in the end it depends on how badly you want to learn it. You'll still get there, even if takes longer.
