And I thought I was hardcore for having an abnormal bone growth
I wish it was as sexy as it sounds

For years I have experienced a strange, totally sporadic, chest pain. The best way I can describe it is that it feels like I have a bubble in my lung - producing an extremely sharp pain upon inspiration, that doesn't go away until I actually take a deep breath and feel the "bubble" "pop".
I even went to the ER once, because I got paranoid that maybe it was a blood clot in my lung and I would have a stroke (lol, still a smoker back then). They did an ECG and all kinds of blood tests and the doctor told me it was nothing - likely just inflammation of the muscles in and around my ribcage. I wasn't really satisfied with that answer..it didn't seem inclusive enough based on my symptoms. Additionally, I know other people who have experienced this same thing - there HAS to be a name for it!
Were you smoking weed at the time? Cus if, then it was probably a heart attack. I've heard that can happen.

One of my flat mates from years ago died of a heart attack while smoking weed He had a cardiac arrhythmia though, which probably had a lot to do with it.

Arrhythmias generally don't lead to heart *attacks*, though they can cause cardiac arrest (not the same thing).

Sure they can. Any arrhythmia, uncontrolled, can potentially lead to either a fatal arrhythmia and/or an MI. If it inhibits perfusion, there is always the potential.

Maybe you should have asked your parents to fill out your enrolment applications?

Yeah, I've got arrhythmia issues, which is why I've had so many tests and tried so many medicines. Never heard anyone mention Precordial Catch Syndrome before, though.
