Well then you have a boring life in my opinion. If you have the means, exploit them. Thats what they are there for. What good does it do anyone if money or whatever is just sitting around doing nothing? Do you not go out and earn money for yourself so you can provide opportunities for your offspring eventually? If someones parents are making more money than they will need then what good is it if they aren't helping out their loved ones if they need it. It's also funny how you say "exploit them" and "I am not saying be a mooch" in the same post. Providing opportunities for someones offspring is different than letting them be a basement dweller and paying for everything while they make no attempt at making money in any way.

You just have shit parents, and you're quite a reflection of it. A good parent would instill some sense of responsibility in you, not just pay for everything while you sit at your computer eating hot pockets.

I am not. I fully acknowledge that I look at things from a standpoint of intellectualism. It is hard not to. I was raised in that culture, and for the most part I continue to surround myself with people who are like minded (as one tends to do with any belief system).

I have some experience though. My mom has always made far less than my dad, and they are divorced. I see the struggles it takes for a single parent to make a living. Luckily she has had continual support, even beyond the terms of the divorce, but it sucks and I understand how hard it is for some people, especially women, and especially women who have given up the better part of their years to raising a family on their own.

I do want to change my perspective and understand different viewpoints better, and that is one of the main reason I went back to school.
