Wrong... they will pay, especially under the circumstances. This isn't a place where you have options like, let's say, a store in a mall. There is nowhere else to go. Just like a game at the Dome where food and beverages are jacked up though the roof. Also, they rely on ppl's guard dropping as more alcohol is consumed. That's why they implement the $2 change trick. Or the fact that many are "partied up" and have no choice but to buy water after the last call. |
you have a choice. Buy it or dont. Want water to be $1 a bottle? Then expect cover to double or talent to be crappy. It all has to get paid for somehow. Clubs arent charities!
As for $2 change. I agree with that but when that happens i just dont tip unless i have the change i want to give them. So often they end up screwing themselves! Again, if this trick didnt work (people didnt give them a twonie) they wouldnt do it! And if people are too drunk to realize what they are doing, perhaps they should consider the consequences of getting that drunk?
I love when people complain about things with the emphasis on others being the problem when in fact they have the ability to be personally responsible for their own actions.
When i party i never pay for overpriced water (i drink a lot before i go and wait till after for cheap water at a gas station). I never fall for the twonie trick. And i understand that prices at a club for drinks are higher than at home and plan accordingly.
Do you go to restaurants and complain about the price mark up on food you could buy for half price at the supermarket?
Having said that, you do really good work with your video footage at the club so next time you are thirsty, come see me
