That's quite possible... although it's not altogether different from the taste of Coke in the UK (Japanese coke is awful though).
On a side note, I'm really sad for some of my students. I replaced to professors: One of them was a really hard-working guy, very responsible, and who took teaching very seriously; the other became embittered after an ex-girlfriend backstabbed him and managed to get some of the students against him*, would often neglect his students and send e-mails a few minutes before the beginning of his classes saying he wouldn't show up. I did all I could to help them and gave them the same test by the end of the semester.
The result was staggering: The average grade of the first class alone was higher than the highest grade of the second
*The guy's story is really sad. He had a rocky relationship with his ex and, unbeknownst to him, she apparently stopped taking the pill as he was appointed to a scholarship abroad, because she didn't want him to go and face the imminent break-up. She then befriended all his friends/colleagues, in an attempt to strengthen their relationship and have more stuff in common - or something.
When he found out he was going to be a dad, however, he said he'd take care of the kid when he came back and he wouldn't want to miss the opportunity to study abroad. She freaked out, said she was going to have none of it, ditched him (though it was sort of mutual after so much drama ensued) and, after his departure, she'd tell all his colleagues/acquaintances that he abandoned her with the baby (of course, those who were close to him knew that wasn't exactly the case). Rumours spread and, when he came back, he was a hated figure among the freshmen, and when he became a professor some of these freshmen (now his students) were downright hostile to him. As a result, hell broke loose and let's just say not everything went well from this point onwards.
