yes but since the different instances exist in seperate dimensions can one person really be held accountable for the actions of another like entity?

How is it that only by 2049 has nanotechnology been approved for medicinal purposes when they're already doing research on the subject? And considering how fast everything is developing its unlikely that it would take so long for it to be approved.
