Youre right of course, that is what J said about being gay, his conservative (and slightly mental, though this might be assumed just by saying conservative) father had some other, not so nice things to say...along with some fairly dodgy things about women, slavery, murder, diet and so forth...surprisingly enough, people chose to disregard those points as "aww he didnt mean all that, jesus said dad was only joking regarding those things" and instead just focus on the gay stuff which makes one wonder why they choose to pick on the gays and not those heathens that eat shellfish or something equally devious and disrespectful as that.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dark_energy
You pointed out dark matter as something that accounts for the majority of the univers, when apparently its dark energy that makes up about 73% of for the lack of a better word, stuff. And this same article also addresses that bit about big bang being cyclical since not only does dark energy apparently account for most of the...stuff (for a lack of a better word) in the universe its also what is is making the expansion faster which could lead to...well read the article, like i said, i dont know enough about this stuff myself to dare to try to explain it to another person.
ALso ive mentioned these several times before but if you're genuinely interested in this stuff, then the BBCs Wonders of the Solar System and Wonders of the Universe documentaries are a great laymans introduction to all of this recent physics stuff. |
The theory about multiple universes and cycling of the big bang are completely different theories. You seem to think I was linking them.
I was merely pointing out a couple of trains of thought on how the world/universe may or may not work.
None of what you linked necessarily disproves anything I said. Interesting stuff, but nonetheless still valid.
