Who did you "break up" with? |
One of my best friends. He was my closest friend for 10 years or so. After his grandfather had a stroke (in 2008), he started to change, and went from being an open-minded tolerant friend to a staunch male-chauvinist looking for disciples as he got more and more involved with his new religion and free-masonry... which eventually clashed with my hippie egalitarianism, generally aloof in real life from religious matters.
I didn't really mind it at first, when he started telling me "why he was right" and "I had not yet seen the way". He became overbearing with time, trying to convince me that:- During my long-distance relationship that I didn't actually have female friends (despite the fact that they've always outnumbered my male friends), but rather I had girls who wanted some lirical bonking sessions, and I was teasing them time and again, as if I couldn't tell them apart from the rare souls who did fancy me because they were myopic - all because he didn't believe blokes could have friends of the opposite sex;
- I wasn't "emotionally prepared" to accept his religion, but I intellectually knew that it was right and true, saying I was a despicable human being because I didn't mourn a friend's death the way he thought I should;
- I - and everyone else in Honshuu - was going to die/get cancer/glow in the dark if we didn't leave the country right away after the Fukushima accident, because we didn't know what was going on... despite the fact we were in Ja-fucking-pan, spoke the language, and could access the damage with our own eyes! The guy was more annoying than my own mother!
I had never decided to drift away from a friend (and I've yet to do it again), but I had had enough of it...
Kaoru used to tell me he was like this all along with her, it just took me a while to "see" it. Oh, well... sucks either way.

Sounds like a right fuckwit Lira. Good riddance. |
True that, but it still sucks because he used to be a top bloke, and I've always been lucky with people, I guess

Sounds like he had the stroke... |
It made sense in the context: He had a really tough time with his grandfather's stroke, and because of a few incidents, he turned into something a misogynist/misanthropist.

Also, dont sell yourself short Lira, I am also sure all the girls wanna boink you. |
In Brazil? Unlikely. I'm a great friend, as I'm a good listener (it seems) who likes to talk about relationships and stuff... but I'm not the sexiest person on Earth, and I look pretty average
That's why I was surprised in Japan
