Don't ever buy anything made by Belkin. My router died at like 11:00 last night so I had to go to Wal Mart to pick up a new one. I need a quality router due to the number of connections and VPN stability I need for work, so I picked up the Belkin n600 DB. Their "top of the line router." The thing was a piece of garbage. Regardless of the broadcast channel, even if you stood 2 feet away you barely got any wifi signal at all.

Took it back today and exchanged for a Netgear N600 db. Infinitely better on both 2.4 and 5GHz bands.

Belkin blows.

Yeah, but the 5ghz band has such crap attenuation. If you're not in line of sight within about 20 foot the speed drops right off.

Other than that, great router.

LOL, I have a Belkin router. Never had a problem with it though. I can get a strong wifi signal even all the way out in the back yard.

I think I prefer netgear. the belkin one I used to have would constatly restart itself.

anyone use amplifiers too? so i have the regular router in the office, and an amplifier in the living room. allows the laptop/phone to get a wifi signal anywhere in the house, and the TV stays connected in the living room.

so i've felt pretty sick latey - last week it was all sniffles and sneezes. i got over that and now i've moved on to a kinda deep cough. for the past 4 days or so my eyes have been red, on and off. i even noticed a yellow color once or twice.
