Just saw Dredd for the first time. I cannot believe that movie didnt make its money back, every single second of it was filled with undiluted awesome! I have the DVD but i think im going to buy a blue ray as well, contributing a tiny bit to a chance for a sequel! Fuck it was awesome!

Taking a leaf out of my own book of being a terrible human being, I'd get drunk and hit them first with the crippling guilt of 'how would you like it if it was you?' followed up by the second barrel of 'he's probably looking down at you with god and thinking you're a complete arsehole'
Any repercussions later on that become outright hostile you can simply wave away with "I was drunk, but I miss him so much", say sorry, cry a lot and make them feel even guiltier.

And then I can tell them that, if they give me some of their money (say, 10%), I can forgive them, and the patriarch will probably be happy too!

there is a fire here that went from 70 acres to 10,000 acres in less then 2 days. i cant even see the mountains anymore, or any houses more then 1 acre away. so much smoke!


if i wake up to smoke detectors again tonight im going to be pissed. just want sleep, this happens every year here i should be used to it by now.

anyone else have fires near them?
