Christ I feel old, I remember when that set was brand new. It's definitely a good one. He does a lot of good stuff with loops or 3-4 turntables, which makes a lot of the tracklists a bit confused.

I was listening to that Sasha set over the summer when it was hot and the ascent of our new microscopic overlords meant I could lounge in the park for four hours at a time.
To be honest, some of the mixing in these Sasha and Digweed live sets is very functional. No real train wrecks or anything, but not always as impressive as we know they're capable of. The set itself and the way it builds feels like Sasha though. I think he was in peak "trance anthem" mode around 98-99.
I suppose the proof would be the Bassline Track. Is it Sasha's exclusive edit?

It's not so much the set as it is the recording that feels odd to me. The great sound quality and the lack of breaks in the recording bother me for some reason.
Edit: actually, there might be some breaks, just cleverly disguised by someone, possibly in post.

The version I have certainly isn't amazing sound quality.

Mine isn't 'amazing,' but it's audibly better than any other 90s-era 'live' recording I have of Sasha and ostensibly 320kbps; the file is some 560 MBs.

I suppose that set is just as "odd" as all the other 320s of old sets that have more or less recently surfaced - I guess it's nice some people didn't throw their old tapes/cdrs away with sets come straight from the mixer.
The odd thing about that Sasha set is that it has also circulated as "Live @ Babylon, Gainsboro, New York" (or North Carolina or wherever), and one or other may have been (deliberately) mislabelled. All I remember from discussion surrounding it is that ultimately nobody really knew where that set had actually been played. I'm pretty sure I had a 192 version in multiple parts of Sasha at The Rub, Tampa many moons ago. Perhaps the tape was transferred to sound files twice or more than one tape circulated.
I guess it's similar to that "Zen Afterparty" at Mark Hunt's house (who)? in Orlando (or was it Miami?) set from 1996 that is available in similar quality as well.

Poor Mark Hunt; more famous for hosting that afterparty than anything else in life :/
Oh! It never occurred to me it could be the Mark Hunt who had his music released on Sunkissed and Fade and had his track included on Digweed's Bedrock comp. Makes sense!

I quite enjoyed that sequence of tracks on Diggers's cd recently - Flutterby - Mark Hunt's Over & Out - Flying - Heaven Scent. Never properly realised back in the day how good that second disc of Bedrock is.

Makes a lot of sense
I get the feeling Hunt was a big promoter in Florida and a friend of a lot of prog people and he fucked around in the studio with Bill Hamel and some other people a few times and they let him put his name on a track as a favour.
