Oh I'm sorry, you must have misunderstood. I only posted to discuss my excitement about having my tattoo finished. I don't actually care whether you understand or approve of what I'm doing.

I like a lot of traditional Japanese tattoos. The cool thing about them is most of the time there will be some kind of ancient story behind them. It's nothing like tribal tattoos imo. Plus they can be absolutely beautiful.

I agree, they can look awesome and gorgeous on females. And you don't need my validation. I just think that to many people have them and not knowing the story behind them.

Yeah but it doesn't need to mean anything to you anyways. It's basically art on your body. If you like how it looks, that's all that really matters.

I agree 100%, it is just not for me, for the reasons I listed above. As long as the person is happy with it but I for one thing her original tattoo is more orignal than to have it covered up with that kind of art.

Covering it up is just one possibility, if you read my initial post. It all depends on what the artist comes up with/how she chooses to work with what's already there. Either way I am open to just about anything.
Regardless I'm super stoked. I wish I could get all done in one sitting. So impatient.

Cover ups have to be a darker color than the original. I don't know how that would work with a Japanese style piece since they usually consist mostly of bright colors.

Yeah, I had one tat that took two sessions but that was only because I was late to Austin so I had to go back.

The funny thing is that those back tattoos in Japan are basically gang tattoos. So if you ever go to Japan don't take off your shirt haha. Also you probably won't be let into any of the but most seedy public bath houses.
