Oh that's actually not too bad. If you can get to a Metro station easily then you're a short ride to downtown. And there's always Uber. Definitely check out Old Montreal! I went to Notre Dame basilica for the first time when I was there a couple weeks ago, what a sight!

Yeah looks like I'm a couple blocks from two orange line stations. Definitely doing some exploring Saturday.

Heck I could probably walk to Notre Dame basilica from where I am staying, it looks about a mile or so. Not sure how pedestrian-friendly that part of the city is.

Yeah you could walk there for sure, based on your vague description of where you're staying lol.
edit: all the shopping and more touristy stuff is on and around Rue St. Catherine. Old Montreal (which is also touristy) is a couple short blocks south of that.

Make sure to enjoy the crumbling infrastructure and Quebecois that make people from Alabama seem progressive.
Pro tip: Forget the "tourist" stuff, and just indulge in Quebec's most famous export. Loose women that take it in the A.

You're a pedestrian at your own risk in this city bud.
Taxis, buses and cyclists don't give a fuck. Actually it really is the cyclists to watch for because they don't obey the rules of the road or those of the people on the sidewalk
Have a good time here and try to avoid hitting a pot-hole so big your insurance wont cover the damage to your car!

Oh that place that looks like an old factory? I've gone by that place a bunch of times. Never been inside though.

Damn, missing you by a few weeks or else I'd invite you for a beer. Have fun!

Yeah. My friend made the reso. She works for a consulting firm and they've had client dinners there, etc. Everything we ordered was fucking bomb. The foie gras holy shit.

"Bagels Etc" is also a cool place for breakfast after a night of boozing and general ridiculous behavior.
