Maps of the economic state of the US

Haven't been writing much lately but I did a quick once over of some interesing maps today.

Here is one made by the New York branch of the Federal Reserve which covers credit conditions nationally on a county by county basis. Really amazing data set.

Here's another one which is a bit more political. This is a breakdown of the recovery funds which have been awareded and also those which have actually arrived. This map is only on a state basis so there's less accuracy for the sake of doing really accurate work.

Great first chart. It really tells a sad story of over-consumption and excessive leverage.
