I already decide to email the manager in the morning if its still open. They probably went on vacation and didn't shut the door all the way or something. The building is secured and you can't even buzz people in from the upper levels, so I am not worried about theft really.

I just hope someone didn't off themselves and leave the door ajar to make sure they are discovered. Then again its been warm and you'd think if its been like this for a while it'd smell.

Slam the door open, so it bangs loudly, and scream "FBI! GET ON THE FLOOR! GET ON THE FLOOR" and then run back to your apartment.

If it's still open in the morning, well... then you know something is up.

Or they bailed to Mexico. Whatever.

Who the hell would want to go to Mexico?

I suppose for north americans its a more expedient way of getting carjacked, shot and having your dismembered corpse left under an overpass than going to South Africa.
