Nah, I've worked with her for this long and hair modeled for her for years. I know her standards and what her results are like. Maybe if it was somebody I didn't already know very well and have a relationship with...but I trust her.

It would be different if you once would have told her she could skip the mirror part.
I think the mirror part was drilled during my hairdressers education, which was in Brussels very very long ago.
Maybe your hairdresser is too convinced of her skills forgetting that you are the customer.
I asked my wife if her's did show the result using a mirror. She does quickly and sometimes my wife after that asks to change it a bit if her hair is still to long or something.

I agree that a good hairdresser will show you the back, but I'm saying that I know mine well enough that I don't feel I have to. It's just the relationship we have.

This incident doesn't change anything. I still would never feel like I need to see the back (unless she did something totally different/new/whatever). It just isn't necessary for me.
