Studying never finishes especially not if you aim to climb the so called corporate ladder.

Competence gets you a certain way up the ladder, after that its the good old fashioned backstabbing, theft, making connections with people that are worthwhile and ruining the reputation of your competition.

Post grad course to enhance my practice. This course is part of a whole critical care certificate...but I don't think I will pursue the whole thing. I just need this course, and eventually the second level, to be able to care for patients that require intense cardiac monitoring. All of the higher acuity settings require nurses to have this course/skill, including the unit I currently work on. In a couple years I'd like to join the float pool or go to the ER, so yeah.


The learning never stops, and it's actually a professional obligation.

Just had my first couple of gray hairs pop out this year. The past few years have not been kind to me.
