My main project and what I hope to end up making money on (but really has cost me way more money so far) is related to radio simulation. Accurately simulating radio devices used by military forces, accessories (like fill devices, GPS units, etc), and their interactions with the environment (real time radio signal loss modeling in a 3D environment).
I was going to school then I stopped to work on this over a year ago, but my business partner kinda went off the deep end (his mom died and he hasn't really been the same since) and things are going slower than I had hoped. I am considering going back to school, probably this fall.
I also have a couple other business ventures that I am considering, but those would require significant capital investment to get started and I can't be arsed to do that right now (and the economy isn't in a place where I think it'd pan out well at the moment).
But yea, living at home sucks, on barely any money, so I gotta figure out what I need to do here pretty soon. |
I see. So unfortunately you confirmed what I suspected: You're doing work on a professional level without getting paid for it. I asked because with that radio simulation stuff you started to sound like some of my friends who are communication engineers.
I don't know if it's the lack of some degree / formal education that's holding you back and I won't dish out smart-ass advice here but you should turn this hobby into a job.
And business ventures doesn't sound like the right idea considering you say you live on barely any money.
