i was ticked for parking in the red zone today (not blocking an entrance or anything- i there 5 minutes tops) and have to pay $93! grand larceny if i've ever seen it.
if the fine went to a good cause i wouldn't feel so bad, but i'm sure its going to some good-for-nothing lazy fat-ass city employee's salary, pensions or other sources of LA's budget shortfalls. truly outrageous.

I've seen some seriously stupid people bitching about parking tickets. The laws are pretty fucking simple. No you are not a special flower, and no the law doesn't need to make an exception for you. You suck.

What's more stupid is the ones who go "HA, you'll never get me to pay this shit" and they burn the ticket, because once you burn the ticket the fine disappears.

Here the parking meter attendants get an iphone and just have some app that shoots the photo and sends you the bill in the post.
