Yes, but I have this idea that there is a fundamental difference between PhDs in the STEM fields and those in the humanities, which originates from the increased focus the latter places on the communication and analysis of... OH FUCK!

Yeah... My buddy is doing his master's in philosophy and is moving onto PhD now....
His brain is great at philosophy, and very little else. Good friend, but only knows how to talk about one thing.
Also it's funny that anyone with a PhD firmly and unflinchingly believes their area of study is the solution to every problem known to man.
Philosophy is I'd say interesting 10% of the time, and the epitome of an internet argument 90% of the time. Quotes, not understanding what the other person means, and no solution to anything.
