A South Florida newspaper is putting me up in a hotel next week for a night to interview me and give me a test assignment. My newsroom experience is in editing, so I'm a bit nervous about working professionally in the field as a reporter.
I want to work in magazines (newspaper writing can be so dry and boring). But everyone keeps telling that if I'm offered this gig, which sounds more than likely from talking with the EIC, I should take it.
If for anything, to gain some experience and try something out of my comfort zone.
It would require me to move into a smaller city, too.
I'm not sure what to do
