Therapist? He used to be an analyst, so I guess that makes him an analrapist.

I've been out of pretty much every loop there is, life hasn't exactly been peachy for the past years. But after the baby came I've started to socialize a bit more. Really does wonders to have someone who's always happy to see me no matter how I feel.
He's 2 now, I've had him for about a year. His first year consisted of getting beat up by his alcoholic, junkie owners on regular basis. The stuff that's been done to him is so graphic that I don't even want to talk about it. When I got him he was so afraid of everything, and I do mean everything, especially people. I don't think he'll ever recover completely, but now he's safe with me and I'll give him all the time and help he needs.

Robert, Robbie.
edit: Would probably have gone for something else, but that's the name he was given. If he'd been 'Spot' or something I would have changed it, but Robbie ain't that bad.

When you said 'baby' I thought you had a child haha.
That's so fucked up, but at least you're able to save him and give him a second chance at life. Good for you

Congrats. Yeah, it seems like everyone wants to become a nurse now. The sad part is knowing people who went through the trouble and then not being able to find jobs. They thought they were safe because nursing is suppose to be recession-proof career.

Actually, the really sad part is that so many people DO want to be nurses, and most of them aren't really cut out for it. But they want a good paycheck and view it simply as a job. Way too many shit nurses out there because of that.

Hey Rose. Long time no talk. Here in the central valley area, the nursing field had already been strong long before the financial crisis. I remember going to community college in 2001 and about half the people I knew were all trying to get into nursing school. Even my parents and a few of their friends were trying to get me to be an RN as well, but I just didn't want to "go with the flow" because my heart wasn't in it. I probably wouldn't have even entered health care if it wasn't for the recession, that shit changed everything here. But at least by that point, I had a high interest in drugs that handling large volumes of them seemed cool. So far, it still is.
