The Babadook had brilliant performances that are most likely going to annoy the shit out of you. Not your run-of-the-mill horror story but that's a pro in this case. It starts out as one but evolves into something else. The movie is more of a psychological thriller using horror elements. Best of all not a lot of cheap jump scares.
Ouu looks interesting

Couple more days for interstAlur, can't wait, btw John Wick was okay.
A group of Finnish and British people get stuck to a cabin when a creature which is a half human, half rabbit, attacks on them. The creature is Bunny the Killer Thing, and it is after anything that is resembling female genitals.

Very slight sub plot spoiler alert:
I got to the part where Jr. starts romancing his high school girlfriend. Ok so son returns to town where he grew up a long time ago and is forced to help his dad that he has a very bad relationship with because of some accident, and after a while he gets together with his old sweetheart that works in the local café.
Cliché overload.

ONe for the sci-fi homies, trailer came out today, been interested since,
Looks similar in style to The Machine and Under the Skin, both of which I plan to never watch again.

Triple postbatman:
wow Interstaller was ssoo good and quite educational. I'm not a movie nerd so you're not getting a long review from me. My advice, go see for yourself.

Anyone else seen Nightcrawler yet? I saw it last night and was really, really impressed. It's a film carried by an extremely well written main character absolutely played out of his skin by Jake Gyllenhaal. The strength of the character carries you through the occasionally incredulous moments in the plot, and the tone is really daringly poised between black humour and deeply macabre drama. It's one of those films where you're laughing one minute and appalled the next, which is a really hard balance to strike. My only mild complaint is with the ending, which doesn't bother to resolve a couple of glaring questions the story sets up. But you all know how much of picky plot bastard I am.
