please check out my first production.. thanks

hello all, first thing id like to say is that there is some fine talent on this board..hopefully i'll fit in to that category as well someday.. but anyhow, i've toyed around with producing off and on for awhile but never really got serious about it.. well I think this track that i created is pretty good (well at least i like it) but i'd really appreciate some feedback you guys.. i mean whats better than expert opinions right? well I hope you guys like it, and if you don't, please leave CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM and not childish remarks, im coming to you guys for help, so if it sucks, i need to know, but in a mature manner so that i can work to make whatever sucks better.. i feel that i'll get the right advice because you all seem pretty serious about these things.. alright anyways the song is called "itsumo" which means "always" in japanese (i didn't know really wat to call it so this may not be the final title) and its basically just a quick paced trancer, not too melodic, not too beat driven, just kinda there helping you pass time.. so enjoy..

ok i have the song on SoundClick.com, but in order to download it i guess u have to be a member, but they stream it in 128kbps anyways so it doesn't matter. here is the link to my page there, just click on "hi-fi" where it says 'play' http://www.soundclick.com/bands/5/djreelmusic.htm

this is a direct link to the "hi-fi" button (it should open in winamp) but i think it uses some codes that change throughout the day to prevent outside linking, so this link probably wont work and in that case, just follow the link to the page above.

Hey,

Really good job dude. Nice structure and feel, a pleasure to listen to. little repetitive at points, but very cool nonetheless.

THANKS you guys! man, I feel good.. people actually enjoyed my work.. im serious, its 8:40am in California and i'm getting ready to go to class and i feel good.. I was kind of afraid to check the post before class cuz i was afraid that people might just rip on me, but i figured thats the only way i can improve but you guys just made my day.. Flotser, what exactly do you mean by 'work on the sound'? is it sound quality of the file? or equilizer problems (as in too much/not enough low/mid/hi)? just let me know what could be worked on.. and thanks again for the comments people

i dont know realy how to describe this man, cause i myself have real problems with that. its just something you fill when you listen to a track, you can feel if its pro or amatur sound.... but realy dont worry about it, its a thing that always impoves over time, and this track is great for first production, realy dont worry,
if you listen to trance alot like all of us here, so you can know if it sounds pro or not, so try listening to your track after or before you listen a track you love.
but again, dont worry, keep on working , and dont start messing with this track now just to dix this, start something newer

i had a feeling thats wat you meant.. and your absolutely right, it will improve over TIME.. i burned a copy onto a cd and mixed it into a couple records and it works, but i have to be selective.. i think if i remaster it a little better just to bring a little better clarity to some of the sounds, it will sound a little cleaner. but i've also kinda decided that if play w/ this anymore it might just end up being a different song.. so i think i'll take ur advice and move on to something new.
