Yes, they did indeed. Boy was that place out in the middle of nowhere! Cabane du Sucre or something. Parked the car and all we could hear was the building rattling from the vibrations..... thought the party was doomed! Luckily, inside the sound was good. The lighting was not so great (and neither was the guy operating them), and it was hot as a sauna in there, but it was a decent party. Both Yahel and Johan seemed to be having a good time up there-both are crowd pleasers. Yahel played "Devotion" ! The highlight of Johan's set was when he had 2 copies of "Boomerang" going at once, and twisted the hell out of that track!!!! If only I'd had my camcorder on at that very moment....

Got to meet Rnakr, Alec, USMCGreg, and the Assassin. (I TOLD u I'd be the only one w/a spelling toy, Alec!!!) Rnakr- where'd u go? We got TA group shots with Yohan and Yahel- I'll post them online in a couple days. TheNeonAlien and I gotta get ready for the drive back to Toronto for the final party of this marathon weekend... Hope to see u all soon! (Alec- check out WEMF lineup on TO forum).
-Nathalie

My ears are still ringing...

Well it didnt take us long to get into montreal (from Ottawa), but we got turned around because the mapquest.com map was slightly off. After dicking around in Montreal for a while we finally found the Pepsi Forum --where the shuttle bus was supposedly coming to pick us up.

Assassin, Alec, and I saw a bunch of other partygoers and asked them whats the dilly yo. They said that the bus hasn't come in 40 minutes. So we waited about another 20 minutes and everyone got restless. We were all just about to leave to go home when a cheesy school bus came by. Hooray, we're saved.

We all hopped on the bus. Then we quickly realized that we were in the middle of nowhere. The shocks on the bus were shot and my ass was getting sore. When they turned on the music in the bus I thought that the bus was going to explode for a minute there... The bus kept heading into the sticks somwhere and us boys were laughing and thought that there was no way that Johan Gielen would come here.

When we go to the event location we were laughing. How could this sheet metal shack be the event location. But once inside we realized what was going on. It was really hot in there and all the girls had their skimpy clothes on :-)

Yahel played some kewl tunes, even though I'm not really into his style. By the time Gielen came on I was already sweating like a mofo. Gielen played a somewhat different style than I was expecting, but it was great nonetheless. By the mid-point of Gielen's set my hair was completely soaked, and so was my shirt. I looked around and there was people with fucking long sleeve sweaters on, and here I am in a t-shirt sweating my balls off. I think I was the sweatiest person in the place. The only person with a shirt more wet than mine was Johan's.

After the event we had a "TA meeting" and got to talk to Johan Gielen and get his autograph. The only problem was that I couldn't hear anything 'cuz my ears were still ringing. We were outside the shack and all I could hear was the music. Johan left us to go get a dry t-shirt, and I wanted to step up and ask him if he could get me one too (jokingly of course) but I was just to def and I was affraid I would not be able to hear his response. Then he came back and talked to us about several events on his tour (at least I think that's what I heard).

After that we got a ride back into montreal from Tatgirl (thanks) and had breakfast at McDicks... People were sneaking up on me, I was nearly falling over, and people were talking to me but I didn't know they were --all because I was nearly def. lol

Meh, it was a somewhat fun night.

Woops, I amde my own and didn't even realise it was a stick! :

Johan was awesome, he lpayed 99% cheese free. ALot of hard pounding music and some high quality trance. He spent a fair bit of time afterwards just talking with people and hanging out. Awesome guy.

Review of Yahel. It was all old school
Yahel was 100% pure cheese. and I'm not kidding! 100%
But depsite that it was still fun to listen to, and the crowd lived it.

The location was in the middle of nowhere, and I mean it. It was at the sugar shack! haha, lol, anyways, I just wanna say hi to all the TA's and I'll put up a johan tracklisting in a bit!

ohhhhhh my head........no more bass......PLEASE!!! Was I the only one who felt they overdid it?

Sax wasn't bad, neither was whoever came right before. At a few points they were spinning some pretty disturbing tech in the next room...anybody check it out?

Hmm, thought it was the other way 'round. Maybe I stepped out at the wrong times...

I would love to have joined you guys for that little TA meetup but I was in no mood to hang out at the time. I thought I was gonna go home, get 909 kick drum diarrhea and die off the toilet like Elvis.

BTW love that text-thingy, Nathalie!
