hi everyone,
im going to be getting into mixing soon and want to find a good mixer to use. I will be using a dual cd player. My question(s) are that i need to find a good mixer. I will soon be buying a sequencer (emu xl-7) and need (i think) more than 2 channels so than i can add this piece of equipment into the mix. Does this mean i need at least a 3 channel mixer? Or can i use a 2 channel mixer? One more question, what is the pfl function in this mixer? http://www.djmart.com/bepromidj.html And finnally, why does this mixer have six inputs with different names (auxillary, line, etc.) if its only 2 channels?http://www.new-line.nl/webshop/view.asp?i=475 Thanks in advance for your help and understanding. |
if u need just 3 channels then i think u should get the vestax pcv175 or 275. i have the pcv175, and its really good. but newayz i dont know which mixers are good or bad, so i cant help u there. the pfl fuction lets u listen through ur headphones for the channel u want to cue or listen or wutever. it just lets u listen through ur headphones. well if that mixer has 6 different lines, that means that u can play 3 channels at a time. each channel has 2 different inputs. for example, if u have a 3 channel mixer, each one of those 3 channels will have 2 inputs and u select one input at a time. hope that helps. btw im a begginer too, so maybe i could be wrong, but if you dont understand id suggest u read the manuals. thats how i learned to beatmatch with my cd decks. but newayz have fun, later.
