I was hoping that it would have electronica/trance but that genre is non-existence! I wonder if electronica version of these sites will pop up anytime soon

Then they wonder why we all download our music. First of all, electronica CDs here are all overpriced because they're "imported", then when they release the "solution" to downloading music on the net they don't offer all styles of music

Then again, I don't see the RIAA pursuing a lot of people that downloaded trance illegally.

I had a look at amazon.co.uk (and also hmv.co.uk), and the CDs there are much more expensive than on the USA AMazon.com. Amazon imports large quantities of them, and sells them at domestic prices.
Apple's Music Store in itunes is way better. Buy.com's doesn't even have an electronic or dance section.
I would love to see a reasonably priced store online where you download computer files of the music, but for a change, one that has a great selection of electronic-based music!

Plus, the electronica CDs they sell at places like Sam Goody are cheese, usually go under some name like "Trance Party 2003" or "Best Trance Hits of 200_"

Yeah, exactly about the comment where all music is packaged as a TRANCE HITZ (or whatever else) compilation that most likely includes DJ Sammy.
Since so few artists get released over here in the US, I really don't buy a ton of cds. Mainly only the big names are the ones I can buy cd's from. Sasha, Paul van Dyk, Chemical Brothers, etc.

Amazon
Sure they're cheap to start out with, but then you gotta pay shipping right?
