Classic Ibiza - Xtravaganza The Definitive Collection
This nice non-mixed double CD got released this week (at least here in Scandinavia) and has some selected tunes from Xtravaganza's past hits and also more recent updates of them. It's compiled by Xtravaganza's owner, Alex Gold and sure is a great deal for those who don't have these gems yet.
All'n'all a great compilation, except for the bunch of cruelly edited tracks on CD2.. Alex should have made a 3CD instead of 2.. Thank God they didn't edit Frattboy on CD1, it's my fav of the Afterburn tunes!!
9/10 for CD1
8/10 for CD2 as for the tracks, 5/10 for the fuukin editing!!!
Hmm.. i could give it a 8/10 as a whole even if i already had most tunes on it.. but i just wanted the few exclusive tunes on it

Damn, this out in Scandinavia already?I'll have to buy this for sure.
Alex Gold vs. Lange Remix is more like Alex's rework of the older Lange Remix. Slight changes and additions here and there..
This is of course out in the UK, Germany and most parts of Europe too, as Xtravaganza is UK based label. Dunno where else it has come out but the US will get this a bit later i think.

A2: Afterburn - North Pole
AA1: Chicane - Don't Give Up (Disco Citizens vs Tomski Mix)
AA2: Agnelli & Nelson - Hudson Street (Album Mix)

Oh, tnx for the info. Hmm.. i wonder why they decided to put those mixes on the 12".. none of them isn't anything too special or hard to find on a bunch of releases. I would've expected some more creative tracklist for the sampler.
And why the F**K do they always need to play around with the mixes of Chicane's Don't Give Up or Saltwater between the 12" and CD releases? I hope the DC vs. Tomski here is the full length version (9:48), not the Edit (7:29) that's on some of the 12" releases and on all CD releases.

I thought that Afterburn - Frattyboy, and North Pole were the same songs, just different names.
The one I am thinking of was the starting song on Magik 6 (I think). GrimReaper, can you clear things up for me?

They sure are 2 different tracks. There's more than 1 track mislabeled on Magik 6.. and one of them is Frattyboy, which actually is called Afterburn - Northpole.
Afterburn - Northpole (10:41)
Afterburn - Frattboy/Frattyboy (9:53) >> labeling differs a bit depending on the release
And Psygnosis, yep, i knew Alex was the person responsible for not releasing the Leaving Town mixes.. That sucks soo much. But there still is a little chance, a very small one but still, to get them released some day. Maybe on some other label...
