I think this might have something to do with fruity not being able to control those features when you are using a VSTi. When you have a plugin going, fruity just serves as the midi controler, sending out the notes to be played, and the receiving the audio and playing it out. So when you are adjusting things like pan it might not be sending that information to the VST. It should work for velocity as long as the synth you are using is compatible with it, absynth is i know. For pan i dont think its gonna work because midi doesnt send separate notes for left and right channels so what you can do is take your fruity sequence and put in its own channel in the mixer and put a pan effect on it, that way it processes the sound that is comming back from the synth, not trying to send panning notes to the synth in the first place.
I hope this helps, if anyone knows that something i said is incorrect please let me know! |
yeah, I guess you are right about Fruity not being able to send panning commands to the VSTi. Well, then I can't use the piano roll for panning, it's a shame.
I am already using the pan of the channel to pan the sound, it just takes a little more time to get all the panning of the notes right with the automation and sutff. But it will work.
thanx for the replies!!!
