Why thanks for the productive reply made it all worth posting here to get some help. You should really not work so hard to help. Wanting the lyrics also so this would be the place to start. This is what I have got so far from listening. Would like to find it in tact, know a couple of things are wrong on it, but just means I listen more. 
And down into the darkness like a pack of willo fords.
Down into the shadows past the junkies past the whores.
Down into the myer suffocating all that lives, but if I say I care I lie because I have no more to give
But supposed a hand would help my hand is now in the air, guess that's what I wanted.
Once again that's my greatest fear.
I just long to hear a birds song just to let me know there is life, for as we all know a song bird never sings its song at night...
But it's quiet now
