yeah but even so moms dont want to hear it. for example, as i am moving in with my bf, it is obvious that i have had sex but we dont talk about it. i once told her how i was worried about a friend cause he is a recovering heroin addict and he had a relapse and i dont think she was really the best person to vent my worries to. she was concerned but so not in touch with the situation that i think if anything knowing that just made her uncomfortable. i think parents should be content to be ignorant of certain things their children do. |
hmmm, i kinda agree with that response. However, i do tell my parents just about everything i've gone through, as in past tense. I think they trust me that what i tell them i've gone through, that i've learned from it and will not try to attempt those things again. however, i do keep them somewhat in the dark to things happening to me right now, such as skipping class sometimes (ya, big deal!) or being a lil active with the laydees.
If they are ever concerned, and ask, i tell them the truth and we get through it together.
I think the mother is right in being concerned with her child and the morals she'd like to pass down to him, as with most parents who have the "abide by big daddy's rules" thoughts
